10th Season of 49ers FootballCharlotte will be competing in its 10th season of football in 2022. Charlotte's program began in 2013 as an FCS Independent. After two seasons, the 49ers made the leap to the FBS as a member of Conference USA in 2015. Charlotte is in its eighth season at the FBS level as a member of C-USA. In 2023, the 49ers will move to the American Athletic Conference.
